Ms. Ruth, Owner, Director, Art and Yoga teacher.
Ruth is native from Mexico City who moved to Arizona in 2003. Her professional background is Marketing and she is also the person behind the art gallery and all events in our school. Ruth’s focus is on learning through everyday activities, fun songs, books and dancing.
Ruth is also the yoga teacher at Curious Kids Preschool. She is a Certified 200 hr. yoga teacher as well as a Kids Yoga Instructor. Her classes are a mix of Spanish, dance and games, that are fun, fun, fun! She has practiced yoga for over 20 years and is always learning both how to practice and to teach.
Ms. Ruth believes an open mind to the world is important. Learning about other traditions and customs is good for a culture of tolerance and acceptance. It is important to be informed, to ask questions and to not be judgmental. Ruth has lived in France and is also fluent in French.
In her spare time, Ms. Ruth enjoys spending time with her kids, reading books, traveling, cooking, watching movies, practicing yoga and working out.
Ms. Petra, Pre-K teacher
Ms. Petra has always had a passion for teaching and working with young children. With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, she believes she has the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to create a fun and engaging learning environment for your child.
Her goal is to foster the love for learning while building a strong foundation for their future academic and personal development. In her classroom your child can expect a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where they can explore, discover and grow at their own pace. We will enhance their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills while encouraging creativity and independence.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, morning walks, movies and going to concerts. She lives with her dog Ivy. She is a huge sci-fi fan and likes anything Marvel. She has 2 grown kids, Casey and Zoe.
Ms. Ana, 2s teacher
Ana was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. She moved to Arizona in 2012. She has a degree in Educational Sciences and taught Kindergarten for 7 years.
Being the 2s the first experience in school, Ms. Ana makes sure her students feel loved and nurtured. She is very patient and fun. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire and educate children about learning another language and culture. Ms. Ana loves children and crafting.
In her spare time she hangs out with her husband and 3 boys, hiking and doing anything outdoors.
Ms. Ximena, 3s teacher
Ms. Ximena is currently a student at Arizona State University studying Psychology as well as Family and Human Development. She finds working with kids to be very fulfilling.
One of her beliefs is that learning should not only be about academics. She hopes to foster an environment where kids can grow socially and emotionally. Her goal is to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Most importantly, learning should be fun!
She lives with her family in Gilbert and her chocolate labrador Buddy.
In her spare time she likes hiking, exercising, crocheting and baking.
Ms. Erin, Reception and Aide
Erin was born in San Diego, California and moved to Arizona in 2010.
She over 15 years of experience with children. She is very patient, nurturing and friendly. You will see her during pick up time in the am classes all the way until the end of our sessions. She will set you up with payments and guide you through all we do with a smile on her face.
In her spare to she likes to spend time with her husband and 3 kids, working out and having fun with friends and family.
Mr.Clive, Owner
Clive moved to Chandler in 2003 from England and lives here with his family.
As well as aiming to create a unique preschool experience for the kids, Clive wants to create a sense of community among the parents, children and staff. Being a scientist, he wants our curious kids to be amazed and inquisitive about the world around them, and likes to give demonstrations that range from dry-ice to steam engines.
Clive designed the curriculum for the school, and created its integrated reading & writing program founded on current research in the field. He carries his passion for science into the STEAM elements of the school’s curriculum.
Clive has a PhD in Mathematics and worked in software R&D for over 25 years before starting Curious Kids Preschool. He enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, and riding his bike.
