We put up an altar in the school and talk about the tradition. That day for snack we serve the traditional "Pan de Muerto", which is a sweet bread typical for the occasion. The kids love it!

Diwali, or The Indian Festival or Lights is a major event in India. Our Indian community organizes it. It is a fabulous celebration of another culture with music, outfits, henna, finger foods and a special craft.

The kids dress up and go from classroom to classroom trick or treating, where there is always a fun game to play as they come in.

We are always thankful, yet, we express it in the entrance with a tree where each leaf has a child's picture and their parents write why they are thankful for them.

To celebrate the season, we have a school wide cookie exchange and Santa comes to had out presents to the kids.
