At Curious Kids wepromote diversity!. Our calendar is filled with special events that connect children, families, and staff. From cultural festivals to milestone moments like Pre-K Graduation, we create experiences that are joyful, age-appropriate, and screen-free.
Each celebration ties into our curriculum with hands-on activities, music, stories, and opportunities for children to practice kindness, gratitude, and confidence in front of a supportive audience.
At the end of each semester, one week is dedicated encouraging students and staff to come together and dress up for the theme of that day.
Here are a few of the celebrations our families look forward to each year. Exact dates may vary, but the smiles are guaranteed.
Children help prepare a simple classroom dessert of thankful pie and share what they are thankful for Parents write why they are thankful for their child and we hang up that staionary leaf on the tree displayed in the front office / We create gratitude art for families. We practice table manners, kindness, and community.
The kids dress up and go from classroom to classroom trick or treating, where there is always a fun game to play as they come in.
We put up an altar in the school and talk about the tradition. That day for snack we serve the traditional "Pan de Muerto", which is a sweet bread typical for the occasion. The kids love it!
Diwali, or The Indian Festival or Lights is a major event in India. Our Indian community organizes it. It is a fabulous celebration of another culture with music, outfits, henna, finger foods and a special craft.
To celebrate the season, we have a school wide cookie exchange and Santa comes to hand out presents to the kids.
It is just another opportunity to spread the love. We have a special themed yoga class and we take pictures in our big red heart frame.s.
Our spring event focuses on new life and growth with a playful egg hunt, planting activities, and bright, process-based art.
A sweet morning where children invite their mom—or any special caregiver—to enjoy a homesnack, songs, and handmade gifts.
Our Pre-K students wear caps and Curious Kids shirts, perform a few songs or poems, and receive certificates to celebrate their readiness for Kindergarten.
